Some policies apply differently to managed and unmanaged users. Unmanaged user refers to someone who has signed in to an enrolled Chromebook with an unassociated Google account. Unless otherwise specified, managed user or device user refers to someone who has signed in to an enrolled Chromebook with a Google account associated with one of your organizations. There may also be notation that describes unique default behavior when a policy is unset, or system behavior that by default the device user has control over. In order to help reduce potential confusion, settings labelled (default) in a policy description indicate default system and user account behavior.
